The EDAPT Clinic is located at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and is a part of the clinical health care services provided by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
The EDAPT Clinic provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for children and young adults who have recently developed a psychotic disorder, or who are at high risk for one of these disorders and are experiencing what might be prodromal symptoms.
The goal of the clinic is to intervene as early as possible in order to prevent the development of disease-related deficits and treatment-related side effects. In addition, we want to empower individuals to become active participants in their treatment and to help people progress toward their personal, social and occupational goals. The EDAPT Clinic is directed by Dr. Cameron Carter, and we are staffed by child and adult psychiatrists and a clinical social worker. We provide targeted medication and psychosocial interventions, as well as case management services, with the goals of early diagnosis, treatment, and disability prevention.
